The first week felt slightly uncomfortable, having not taught for a while and being expected to teach a unit on a subject matter I'm uneducated in. However, the first lesson taught went well and within minutes I felt comfortable. My class is well behaved and enthusiastic about my lessons. I have ran into few challenges so far, but my main challenge will be the space. I am determined to teach art in a portable with no sink and one table for supplies.
Over the past 3 weeks I've learned a lot about teaching, and a lot about grade 7s. I'm having an amazing experience and learning some valuable skills through trial and error. This blog will help prepare you for grade 7s, and the challenges and rewards you will face.
